Funny enough, "I Wish You Love" was also my go-to song...well, one of many. But it helped me focus on the fact that while I was angry, I didn't want it to consume me. I didn't want the hate to turn my beating heart black, even when it hurt so much. I think it's great that while you recognized your ex wasn't the man you needed him to be, you can still hope for the best for him and yourself. I think we all fall in to a trap by which we assume the identity someone else wants for us, at least temporarily. The trick is not to let it go too far.
