THERMOREGULATION

Merino is an active fibre that reacts to changes in body temperature, keeping you warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s hot. In climate-controlled human trials, 100% merino base layers outperformed synthetics, cotton, and viscose during stop-go activity, holding the microclimate between fabric and skin steadier so your body works less to stay comfortable. It manages heat when you’re working, then preserves warmth when you stop — eliminating the after-chill synthetics are known for.

MOISTURE MANAGEMENT

Merino’s fibre has a hydrophobic outer surface and a hydrophilic core, letting it absorb up to ⅓ of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet. Sweat is drawn off the skin, moved through the fabric, and evaporated into the air. This dual structure is also why merino resists odor: the fibre absorbs sweat molecules and locks them in until wash, denying bacteria the surface moisture they need to multiply.

DURABILITY

At a microscopic level, each merino fibre behaves like a coiled spring, bending thousands of times without breaking and returning to its original shape after stretching. That structural elasticity gives garments shape retention, wrinkle resistance, and resilience under repeated wear. The result is a garment that earns its cost-per-wear over years, not seasons.

CIRCULARITY

Merino is 100% natural and 100% renewable — sheep grow a new fleece every year on water, air, sunshine, and grass. At the end of life, 100% merino fabric biodegrades by 95% within 15 weeks buried in soil, releasing nutrients back into the eairth.
